Open Settings, find EchoNote Lecture, and allow Microphone access. The app requests this permission only when you start a recording.

How can we help?
Get help with recording, transcription, translation, playback, storage, and exports. Support is provided by QianMo through the project’s public GitHub issue tracker.
Transcript unavailable
Keep the app in the foreground and connect to the internet while the system prepares the English speech model. Audio can still be preserved when transcription is unavailable.
Translation unavailable
Basic translation requires the English and Simplified Chinese language resources. Apple Intelligence polishing additionally requires a supported device, enabled Apple Intelligence, and compatible language models.
Partial recording warning
A route change, media-services reset, or storage error may stop safe capture. Review the warning and explicitly save the valid prefix or discard it.
Delete local data
Delete one or more lectures from the library to remove their audio, transcript, translation, bookmarks, corrections, and attached photos. Uninstalling the app removes its local container.
Export and sharing
Open a lecture and use Export to share Markdown, SRT, or the original audio. Copies sent to Files or another app must be managed in that destination.
Before contacting support
Please include the device model, iOS or iPadOS version, EchoNote Lecture version, steps to reproduce the problem, what you expected, and what happened.
Protect your classroom privacy. GitHub issues are public. Do not attach lecture recordings, transcripts, slide photos, student information, or other sensitive material. Describe the behavior without including private classroom content.
For a privacy or security concern, create an issue containing no private data and request a private follow-up channel.
